History

The Multidata-Bluegarden Group was formed in July 2007 when Bluegarden’s previous owner Ratos sold the company to Multidata. The Group company has almost 40 years of experience in payroll and HRM solutions.

Bluegarden Sweden has its roots in Växjo PA-konsult, which was founded in 1979. Bluegarden Norway started out as Statens Driftssentral for Databehandling, which was founded in 1972, and the Danish parent company Multidata was founded back in 1968 and was a department of "Pengeinstitutternes Betalingsystemer" (PBS) until 2003.

In 2004 Bluegarden and Multidata initiated a strategic collaboration which continued until July 2007 when the Multidata-Bluegarden Group was founded.

We are very proud of our history and all the people and experiences which have built the companies over the last four decades. It is thanks to this collective knowledge base that we are now trusted to handle 2.3 million payslips every month.
